This is a test of google docs. I'm at Bryant park using free wifi. My first attempt crashed the browser--again. I really like that holding down the delete key accelerates to delete a word at a time. I guess it has to since it dispenses with the select and delete convention present in most GUI text editors. Well this is working splendidly. Unfortunately its starting to rain. Well, I just lost a sentence there because safari crashed. I'm happy that I didn't lose the whole thing though. It only crashes when i started panning around. It's also worth noting that I can only seem to bring up the iPhone keyboard by clicking "edit Html". At least I can do that. Google docs is great because you are in safari and can type in wide mode. I wonder if that's another way for Apple to encourage people to use web apps instead of native iPhone apps. It certainly is easier to type in landscape mode. Well I just published this to SwitchBlog using Google Docs. Cool! Ironically that makes me feel like another reason to switch to WordPress. As cool as the iPhone is and as great as I can see that it will become I'm really having a had time trusting it. I've crashed Safari no less than eight times on the past hour. Pain! And yet, the promise of it not crashing in the future might be reason enough to hold on to it. What an amazing little device!
