I hate my new Apple Macintosh iMac!

This is precisely why the market is jittery about Apple's Intel transition. It will take time for developers to make everything seamless again. In Apple's defense, Rosetta is one amazing piece of work, and eliminates scores of potential incompatibilities.

As explained by his friend, Kent lacks experience managing Windows as well, so his concerns are magnified through that lens. Experienced Mac users, who tend to fall all over themselves in their willingness to help, see these things in a, less catastrophic light. They are problems that will be solved and made seamless again in short order.

Kent can take comfort in the fact that Mac fans will help him and the the learning curve is not as steep as it initially may seem.


After solving the most immediate issues, such as WiMP support, he should consider taking some of the free classes offered at the Apple store, they are fun, and in the absence of an Apple store in his hometown, he should as questions around the web.
